With a spare graphics card and a MDD that could use double the memory of the stock Radeon 9000, we set out to do just that. After some precision cutting and taping (pins 3 & 11 on the back side), the graphics card is now working in the MDD without an issue! We have yet to test it, but we’ve heard this also works with QuickSilvers.
Something we did experience is if you tape the wrong side (heatsink side) or don’t tape the pins correctly, the G4 will refuse to even power up. Be sure to tape the back side, closest to the DVI/ADC ports! Read more Here
